Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled HR professional to support the day-to-day operations of our HR department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Email and Phone Support: Respond to employee inquiries and concerns within 24 hours.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the HR team to implement, improve, and communicate programs, policies, and processes.
- Wellness and Engagement: Promote wellness, employee engagement, DEI initiatives, and other firm-wide activities.
- New Hire Onboarding: Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding efforts.
- Employee Support: Answer and resolve day-to-day employee inquiries and concerns.
- Performance Management: Assist with the performance management process and employee recognition programs.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration and leaves of absence processes.
- Relationship Building: Develop and enhance working relationships with internal staff at all levels.
- Electronic Files: Ensure electronic personnel files are maintained and updated in a timely manner.
- HRIS Maintenance: Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Reporting: Create and share ad hoc reports, analyzing data as needed, in an accurate and concise manner.
- Offboarding: Provide support during the offboarding process.
- Training and Compliance: Administer relevant training in compliance with applicable state laws.
- Initiative Coordination: Coordinate and support various initiatives as needed.
- Safety Programs: Oversee safety programs and related initiatives.
- Maintenance of Accurate Records: Ensure HR practices and procedures are compliant and regularly assessed for streamlining and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Ability to travel throughout the greater SF Bay Area.
- Experience supporting a public accounting or professional services firm is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, SDI, Workers' Compensation, San Francisco Health Care Ordinance, Paid Sick Leave, EEO compliance.
- Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Expert ADP skills and experience is highly valued.
- PHR Certification or similar is a plus.
- Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Experienced with and comfortable working in a paper-less environment.
- Strong work ethic with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinking capabilities and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Motivated to make a meaningful impact on our firm and to develop oneself professionally.
- Work effectively with a diverse group of professionals across multiple offices and within the HR team.
- Intellectually curious to learn and apply employment-related laws and regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to step back and apply big picture thinking.

- Ability to work independently while exercising sound professional judgment.

- Strong desire to take a people-first approach while providing excellent support to our employees and partners.
- Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR practices.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
