Position Title: Technology Consultant

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Role Overview: The Technology Consultant will engage in comprehensive Power System Planning analyses for Bulk Electrical Transmission Grids across the USA. This role involves collaborating with various Transmission owners, Power Systems Operators, and Power Producers to evaluate and enhance the reliability, efficiency, and security of the transmission network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intricate studies on transmission, distribution, and industrial systems while adhering to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients to ensure clarity on project scope and deliverables.
  • Compile and prepare detailed study reports and technical documentation as an individual contributor.
  • Present findings to clients effectively, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the results.
  • Support project teams in achieving compliance and timely delivery of reports.
  • Remote work is permitted, allowing flexibility in work arrangements.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Electric Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with three (3) years of relevant experience in the role or similar positions. Alternatively, a Master's degree or its foreign equivalent in the same fields with one (1) year of experience will be accepted. The ideal candidate should have experience in:

  • Transmission system planning or operations.
  • Analyzing power flow, transient stability, and electromagnetic transients.
  • Understanding grid code standards and planning procedures, particularly those related to renewable energy integration.
  • Utilizing commercial software such as PSSE, TSAT, PSLF, PSCAD, TARA, and Matlab.
  • Programming in languages such as Python and Fortran.
