Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at The Revere Room. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of hot menu items, specials, and presentations to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations and hotel standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Coordinate the purchase of food and supplies, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs.
  • Develop and implement menus, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and comply with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure that all kitchen areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
