Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Representative I to join our team at Yakima County Emergency Medical Services Department. Responsibilities
  • Conduct lectures and coordinate practical skill stations
  • Organize and transport equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or two-year technical certification in EMT
  • Three (3) years in Emergency Medical Services, whether on a volunteer Fire Department or Ambulance
  • Valid WA State Driver's License and proof of insurance, if requested
  • Successful completion of general employment verification
  • Current WA State Certification as Emergency Medical Services Provider or National Certification in one of the following disciplines: Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic
  • WA State Certification as a EMS Evaluator within one year of appointment
Working Conditions

This position is rated as Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects or work out in the field.

Environment: excessive noise, exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, and moving/mechanical parts.

Physical Demands: bending, carrying, handling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, reclining, hearing, smelling, talking, and visual activity.

Intellectual Demands: ability to multitask, ability to work under pressure, ability to articulate and communicate information in conversations, ability to follow written instruction, and ability to follow verbal instruction.
