Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at OIC of Washington. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, including painting, carpentry, minor electrical, drywall, and other recognized crafts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps in walls, and checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Install appliances and equipment, and conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems, including ventilation and fire alarms.
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations, and report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues.
- Provide support with forklift and food bank operations as directed by supervisor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and training skills.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent people skills, including maintaining composure and calm during stressful situations.
