Job Summary

The Kansas Bankruptcy Court is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Case Administrator to join our team. As a Case Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the court, ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the court, including preparing and processing court documents, managing court files, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the coordination of court proceedings, including scheduling hearings, preparing court calendars, and communicating with court staff and attorneys.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records, including court documents, case files, and statistical data.
  • Provide excellent customer service to court staff, attorneys, and the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with court staff to ensure the efficient operation of the court, including participating in meetings, providing input on court policies and procedures, and contributing to the development of new initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience, with a focus on court administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with court staff, attorneys, and the public.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a court or legal environment, with knowledge of court procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
