Position Overview:
Mendocino Farms is in search of an innovative and strategic Chief Supply Chain Officer to enhance our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking mindset with a strong focus on operational efficiency and sustainable sourcing. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is vital in steering our brand towards ongoing success and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all elements of the supply chain, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, inventory oversight, and distribution logistics.
- Refine procurement strategies to reduce costs while ensuring high quality and sustainability.
- Design and implement effective supply chain processes and systems to optimize workflows, minimize waste, and enhance profitability.
- Lead and develop a diverse team of supply chain experts, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Advocate for sustainability initiatives throughout the supply chain, emphasizing environmentally responsible practices and ethical sourcing.
- Formulate and execute long-term strategic plans for supply chain management, aligning with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and market differentiation through operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, ideally within the fast-casual or restaurant sector.
- Demonstrated success in supply chain dynamics, vendor management, and procurement best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and motivating teams across all levels.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on results and the ability to drive innovation and change.
- Commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
