Position Summary
Reporting directly to the VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, the Operations Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting Millennium Space Systems with a focus on analytics, defining system requirements, and executing large-scale initiatives to achieve business goals. This role presents a unique opportunity to significantly influence the organization by implementing innovative systems and strategies that enhance manufacturing and supply chain processes, as well as fostering collaboration among teams to ensure effective execution. This is a remarkable chance to cultivate a high-performing operations team and directly contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in business analytics and the definition of system requirements.
  • Develop methods to project workforce needs and necessary skill sets to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze and summarize data for the development and presentation of organizational strategies (e.g., budget considerations, workforce levels, training needs, and equipment/facility requirements).
  • Manage the trade space and justification for new system implementations, supporting cross-team execution.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of metrics.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain leadership to identify, propose, and implement large-scale business initiatives.
  • Enhance the end-to-end process flow that supports business operations, working with cross-functional teams to boost efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets; monitor and communicate the status of execution plans.
  • Work with subject matter experts, suppliers, partners, and customers to implement comprehensive organizational training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science).
  • Over 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • More than 2 years of experience in executive communications and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Proven experience in proposing and driving corporate business transformations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the aerospace sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Familiarity with operational analysis, including capacity and gap analysis.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing complex challenges across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient in SQL and PowerBI.
