Job Summary

The Skills Coalition is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Associate to join our team. As a Fund Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ILPA, and collaborating with the investment accounting team to complete monthly close procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including fund level quarterly statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and ILPA
  • Collaborate with the investment accounting team to complete monthly close procedures
  • Review workpapers, fee calculations, and investor statements
  • Review secured debt quarterly compliance reports
  • Annual audits of various investment vehicles
  • Financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes
  • Work closely with the external tax team to provide information and data analysis
  • Manage REIT compliance and liaison between asset managers and tax consultants
  • Quarterly variance reporting at fund level
  • Transaction support for the Investments team
Requirements
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Analytical and technical accounting skills
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and fair value accounting principles
  • Sole and team collaborator in a fast-paced environment
  • Work daily with internal and external third-party vendors
  • Nice to have: Commercial real estate or fund accounting experience, Yardi and/or Workiva experience
  • Education: Master's degree
  • CPA or other certifications
