Job Summary

This position is responsible for receiving, composing, editing, and submitting reports of allegations of abuse and neglect referrals from youth via text message/online for all counties on a statewide basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive reports of alleged child abuse and/or neglect from youth via text message/online.
  • Utilize appropriate judgment in the screening process per CYFD policy and procedure and worker professional standards.
  • Gather all relevant information by the caller for appropriate screening determination.
  • Mentor new workers in the unit and promote staff development by providing support to co-workers in skill-building and program development.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Family Services from an accredited college/university.

Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or related experience totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with extensive exposure to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and phone usage.

Travel may be required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
