Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our Child Life department, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging environment for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities and programs for patients of all ages
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote patient safety and well-being
  • Provide orientation and training to volunteers and student staff members
  • Assist with special events and community outreach initiatives
  • Document program activities and patient interactions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1 year of experience in a child life or related field
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
