Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Technician to join our team at Bernalillo County. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive detoxification and treatment services to clients struggling with substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other department staff to administer program curriculum and activities
  • Monitor client progress and make recommendations for service modifications
  • Transport clients to appointments and other service locations
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and two years of experience in substance abuse, healthcare, law enforcement, emergency management, or corrections
  • Preferred experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license
