Job Title: CPS Investigation Supervisor

Job Summary:

The CPS Investigation Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of case workers investigating child abuse and neglect referrals. The supervisor will assess the risk and safety of the child, take appropriate action, and ensure timely initiation and assessment of child safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of case workers and provide guidance on case management and investigation techniques.
  • Review and approve case assessments and dispositions to ensure quality family-centered services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce recurrence of maltreatment and re-entry into foster care.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in child welfare or related field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting with regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage. May be required to work late hours, weekends, and on-call.
