Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary III to join our team at the Municipality of Anchorage. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with daily court case management tasks, including formatting and finalizing legal documents, data-entry, and case management.
  • Communicate effectively with various officials and individuals over the phone and via email.
  • Process and manage incoming and outgoing legal documents, including scanning, filing, and faxing.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys and provide administrative support for court-related activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus five years of experience in legal office practices and procedures, legal research, and court processing.
  • Associate's degree in a related field, plus three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) certification within 30 days of hire.
