The Native American Rights Fund is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Support Specialist in our Anchorage, Alaska office.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team and support all aspects of ongoing litigation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preparing and organizing legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and managing both electronic and hard-copy files.

You will work closely with attorneys to prepare and organize legal documents, conduct research, and draft responses for production requests. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize legal documents, including trial exhibits and expert reports
  • Conduct research and draft responses for production requests
  • Manage electronic and hard-copy files, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with attorneys to support all aspects of ongoing litigation
  • Assist in trial preparation, coordinate with legal teams, and communicate with court personnel
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience as a Paralegal, preferably at the federal court level
  • A Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and litigation management software like Relativity, Concordance, or NetDocs
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in document management and legal research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and report back on completed tasks
  • Familiarity with state and federal court document filing, including electronic filing systems (ECF)
  • Knowledge of or experience with Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian communities and culture is highly valued
