Job Title: Coordinator, Construction Safety

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and potential risks
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide safety training to employees on topics such as proper equipment usage, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition
  • Develop and maintain safety manuals, guidelines, and instructional materials to support training initiatives
  • Assist with investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives and programs
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and adjust policies and procedures as necessary
  • Maintain records and documentation related to safety inspections, training sessions, and incident investigations
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage operational employees
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ANSI)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data analysis and report generation from safety risk systems
  • Associate degree in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections and hazard risk reduction mitigation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
