Job Summary

The Public Employees Retirement System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager III to join our Customer Education and Outreach Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operational activities of our education and training programs, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our members, business partners, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the overall operational activities of the education and training programs, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our programs, ensuring that they meet the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of professionals in providing administrative, reporting, and project support functions to the division.
  • Collaborate with other business areas and partnering organizations to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, business partners, and internal team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably in a customer-facing or education/training environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and leading teams, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
