Job Description and Duties

The Department of Consumer Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager III to join our team. As an Assistant Executive Officer, you will provide critical support to the Executive Officer and ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with the organization's goals and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and direct the implementation of policies, strategic plans, statutory and regulatory requirements, and operational procedures for all units within the Board.
  • Assist the Executive Officer in providing leadership and guidance to staff, and ensure that all operations are carried out in a manner that is consistent with the organization's mission and values.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on policy and procedural matters.
Requirements:
  • Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired.
  • Conflict of Interest (COI) clearance, including submission of a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
  • Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) clearance, including submission of fingerprints to the Department of Justice and clearance before hiring.
Working Conditions:

The Staff Services Manager III is a hybrid work position, requiring the incumbent to work in the office 2 to 3 days each week. The position also requires travel to Board and other hearings, by various methods of transportation.
