About the Role

The Carlstar Group is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Procurement Specialist to join our supply chain team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for efficiently sourcing and procuring materials, goods, and services while optimizing inventory levels to ensure smooth production and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts to determine optimal stock levels, implement inventory control strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and monitor inventory turnover rates.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance against key metrics such as on-time delivery and quality, work with suppliers to address any performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with sales, production, planning, and marketing teams to develop and understand demand forecasts, utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze supply performance and demand accuracy, and prepare regular reports on procurement, inventory, and demand planning metrics.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin: Strong preference for bilingual candidates who can communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field, and minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management with expertise in procurement and planning.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in analytical and problem-solving skills, including contract negotiation, ability to aggregate large amounts of data into concise presentations, strong interpersonal skills, and advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar tools, and prior experience in procurement and inventory ERP software.
