Position Summary
The Procurement Analyst is essential in crafting and implementing precise strategies to guarantee that our manufacturing site is adequately supplied with the necessary materials for production. In this role, you will oversee the management of ingredient and packaging inventories, while also documenting and refining procurement processes and best practices. Collaboration is key, as you will work cross-functionally with various teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective safety stock methodologies, documenting best practices.
- Create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance.
- Analyze adherence to safety stock levels, providing detailed insights into variances.
- Oversee obsolescence, transitions, and product discontinuation processes.
- Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in MiSys and related documentation.
- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate order confirmations and system updates.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate shipment efficiencies through load pairing and freight scheduling.
- Maintain timely communication regarding operational status updates.
- Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, though not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Netsuite ERP is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at solving complex challenges effectively.
