About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our team at Hanger Clinic. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our certified clinicians with patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist practitioners with patient care under direct supervision, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Prepare patient rooms and equipment for treatment, making and modifying molds, and performing technical fabrication tasks.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided, including patient follow-up and communication with patients and their families.
  • Perform selected patient care procedures, including the fitting of soft good items, and provide alterations as needed.
  • Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients under the direction of a supervising certified clinician.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks, as well as clerical duties.
  • Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Ensure all patient procedures are performed in alignment with the certifying clinician's standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and compliance with Medicare and other governmental requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including blood-borne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Allied Health Professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc.)
  • Orthotic or Soft Goods Fitter
Success Factors:
  • Willingness to verify all clinical activities with certified clinical personnel.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Hand skills necessary to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of biomechanical principles.
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for reporting information to patients and staff.
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan for meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
