QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity overseeing clinic operations.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in strategic planning and policy development.
  • Contribute to facility planning and resource allocation.
  • Direct the formulation of tactical plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure achievement of objectives through effective organizational structure design.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on clinical space and system management.
  • Identify and communicate key operational metrics, providing feedback and action plans for performance enhancement.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating and capital budgets.
  • Participate in decision-making regarding information and telecommunication systems.
  • Develop and maintain continuous quality improvement initiatives related to patient care.
  • Expand clinical programs and refine operational processes as necessary.
  • Facilitate a well-functioning organization through timely problem identification and resolution.
  • Establish supportive relationships with department heads and business managers to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to develop training programs focused on customer service improvement.
  • Maintain effective communication with IT departments regarding operational processes influenced by healthcare technology.
  • Engage in discussions with IT teams regarding operational aspects of EPIC systems.
  • Monitor market demands concerning patient and physician satisfaction.
  • Lead projects aimed at clinical improvement involving a broad range of staff.
  • Maintain visibility within clinics to foster relationships with managers and support staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all Practice Managers and Clinic Office Managers.

COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated success in managing clinics or outpatient centers, with proven improvements in efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience in budget management within a healthcare context.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding organizational structure while being sensitive to the practice's cultural environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple clinics or departments.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies and enhance processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with medical staff and stakeholders.
  • Experience in staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and development.
  • Capability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to leadership.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety principles.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity are required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move items weighing 25-50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel to various clinic locations for meetings or conferences.
  • Availability to work beyond 40 hours per week when necessary.
