Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the care of neurological/neurosurgical patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for students and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance the department's mission and goals.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree.
  • Current Certified Physician Assistant license or State of Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

  • Experience in academic or clinical education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
