Position Overview:


Assist the healthcare and nursing teams in delivering comprehensive care to patients in various settings, including their homes and skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities include personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and transferring patients.

Key Duties:


Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide effective patient care; may monitor vital signs; assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, and dressing as needed; support therapeutic activities by encouraging patient participation in self-care, mobility exercises, and restorative practices; maintain accurate records in paper or electronic formats as required; observe and report any changes in patient conditions; assist with diagnostic procedures; employ aseptic techniques when necessary; facilitate patient transfers using appropriate assistive devices; participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as assigned.

Ensure a clean and safe environment for patient care; change bed linens, set up specialized equipment, and maintain cleanliness of tools; report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel; manage inventory of supplies; conduct basic laboratory tests such as diabetic screenings and specimen collection; perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year in a customer service role within a healthcare environment or direct patient care experience is required.

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is mandatory.
Certification: Registered Nursing Assistant (Washington) or Nursing Assistant Certificate (Washington) is required upon hire.
Additional: Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
