Role Overview:
The Patient Care Support Specialist within the Float Pool at MultiCare plays a vital role in assisting with the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to patients and their families. This position collaborates closely with registered nurses and physicians, making it an excellent entry point into the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support RNs and physicians in providing patient care
- Conduct dressing changes, gather data, maintain documentation, and monitor vital signs
- Exhibit a service-oriented mindset, professionalism, and strong decision-making capabilities
- Effectively prioritize tasks and demonstrate adaptability in organizational duties
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington State
- Enrollment in an accredited RN program may substitute for certification; Nurse's Assistant registration is required for students
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred: One year or more of experience in patient care
