Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Case Specialist. As a key member of the District Court team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, law enforcement personnel, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to attorneys, litigants, law enforcement personnel, and the general public, including assisting with case processing and responding to inquiries.
  • Process court documents, papers, and filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and identifying and resolving discrepancies within established guidelines.
  • Perform administrative support duties, including preparing fiscal reports, correspondence, and other documents using word processing software.
  • Assist in the training of new employees and provide guidance on court procedures and policies.
  • Work collaboratively with court staff to ensure efficient and effective case processing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a related field, preferably in a court or administrative setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with court automation systems, such as MassCourts.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and policies.
  • Ability to prepare fiscal reports and other documents using word processing software.
