Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and supporting employee relations. This role requires a strong background in HR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, or enforce company policies and procedures to ensure consistency with internal processes.
  • Partner with Leadership management to complete and prepare for BIT and federal inspections.
  • Schedule job postings, advertisements, cost/budget management interviewing, recruitment metrics, onboarding, and orientation processes.
  • Analyze training needs to promote employee engagement, development, education, and health and safety training programs.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, absenteeism rates, etc.
  • Supports employee relations including employee corrective action, separation notices, and related disciplinary or separation documentation.
  • Continuously review and improve Human Resources policies, programs, metrics, and practices.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general education (GED) required, a college degree in Human Resources preferred. PHR certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive HR-related experience required to include recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, timekeeping, and safety, preferably within a Transportation, warehouse/production environment.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in two languages, Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Multi-State and Federal Labor Law, HR Systems, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, and Worker's Compensation preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
