Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire kitchen operation from opening to closing.
  • Ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment, including workstations, ovens, walk-in freezers, and dry storage areas.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving of all products.
  • Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Place product orders through both phone and electronic systems.
  • Uphold rigorous sanitation standards for yourself and your team, in compliance with local and state regulations; maintain current ServSafe certification.
  • Implement and enforce sanitation and allergen protocols.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff with support from management, including conducting performance reviews.
  • Engage in cooking and baking activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Handle accounting, billing, and invoicing tasks.
  • Oversee budget management.
  • Contribute to menu development and special selections.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in professional kitchen management.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Open to constructive feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • A genuine passion for exceptional food and hospitality.
  • Experience in coaching, training, and developing team members.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Availability for phone communication outside of regular business hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and assist at other locations as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Effective communication skills with both associates and guests.
  • Ability to accurately complete necessary paperwork, including counting, reading, and writing.
  • Proficient in operating all necessary equipment for kitchen operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g., cooler, outdoor).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities.
  • Solid financial management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of weights ranging from 1 to 15 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and bend below the waist.
  • Capability to navigate all areas of the kitchen and store.
  • Ability to move swiftly throughout the kitchen.
