Position Title: Cafeteria Service Associate

Overview: Join our dynamic team at Guest Services, where you will provide exceptional service in our cafeteria operations. This role is essential in ensuring a delightful dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding guest interactions by assisting customers with inquiries and processing transactions efficiently.
  • Accurately handle sales transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and service areas.
  • Prepare and present food items for service, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
  • Serve food to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas.
  • Manage inventory by restocking food items and supplies as needed.
  • Assist in cooking simple food items and executing basic food preparation tasks.
  • Support other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food safety certifications such as ServSafe or equivalent are required.
  • Experience in a national park or similar environment is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and operate food service POS systems effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to address guest concerns and collaborate with team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around the work area frequently and perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs as needed.

Equipment Utilized:

  • Food service POS system, including cash registers and credit card terminals.
  • Commercial kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
