As the Clinical Nutrition Team Leader, you will evaluate patients' dietary needs utilizing established assessment methodologies, oversee clinical nutrition operations, and provide mentorship to fellow dietitians. Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding patients, families, and caregivers towards effective nutrition strategies aimed at enhancing health outcomes.

In this role, you will engage with patients presenting complex health challenges (such as pediatric, bariatric, and ICU cases) that demand advanced expertise in nutrition therapy. You will conduct thorough nutritional evaluations, considering age, gender, and cultural backgrounds, and perform routine screenings to identify individuals at nutritional risk. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team will be essential to ensure comprehensive care, all while maintaining a strong focus on customer service for patients and their families.

Additionally, you will enhance your professional development by managing clinical nutrition operations and mentoring Clinical Dietitians and students in essential departmental practices.

Responsibilities

+ Formulate individualized nutrition intervention plans, including feeding routes and nutrition prescriptions tailored to each patient's needs, in alignment with physician directives.

+ Assess and document patient responses to nutritional interventions, ensuring measurable goals are met as outlined in the nutrition care plan.

+ Revise care plans as necessary and provide follow-up support to patients.

+ Assist in maintaining optimal staffing levels to meet clinical demands efficiently.

+ Lead training and development initiatives for Clinical Dietitians I & II, as well as other relevant positions.

+ Facilitate Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) training sessions for hospital staff, including nurses and physicians.

+ Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian II or four (4) years in an acute care setting with complex patient populations.

+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).

+ Current registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

+ Valid Dietitian State license in applicable states.

Pay Range

$36.52 /hour
