Dietitian Lead

Luke's Health-Memorial is a leading healthcare provider in East Texas, delivering high-quality innovative care to over a quarter of a million patients annually.

As our Clinical Dietitian Lead, you will play a crucial role in assessing patients' nutritional status, coordinating clinical nutrition administrative duties, and mentoring others.

You will take pride in leading a team and recommending personalized nutrition plans to improve patient health and well-being.

Working with patients in complex care settings, such as pediatric, bariatric, and ICU units, you will perform nutritional assessments using age and gender-appropriate standards and cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.

You will identify patients at nutritional risk and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate care, while demonstrating excellent customer service.

In addition, you will advance your skills by coordinating administrative duties and mentoring Clinical Dietitians and students in core behaviors and responsibilities.

**Develops an intervention plan, including feeding route, mode, and nutrition prescription tailored to each patient's needs, in accordance with physicians' orders.

• Monitors and evaluates patient response to interventions by meeting specific measurable goals documented in the nutrition care plan in a timely and thorough manner in the medical record.
• Coordinates and leads training/development of Clinical Dietitians I & II, patient interactive positions, and Medical Nutrition Therapy training sessions and workshops for hospital staff.
• Collaborates with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance patient experience.

Requirements:

• Two years as a Clinical Dietitian II at Dignity Health or CSH, or four years acute hospital experience working with patients in complex care settings.
• Bachelor's Degree with completion of accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
• Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
