Job Overview:
The Senior Cost Accounting Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of manufacturing processes. This position is pivotal in managing budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial closings, compliance, reporting, performance evaluations, and special initiatives as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the development and assessment of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and operational strategies.
- Execute assigned closing tasks with precision and within deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and necessary substantiations.
- Conduct evaluations of monthly financial performance, including root cause analysis, to identify areas for operational enhancement.

- Perform profitability analyses on product lines, clientele, capital investments, and other strategic business decisions.
- Uphold financial integrity by adhering to established protocols and internal controls in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
- Ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with these standards.

- Engage in financial modeling and conduct trend and sensitivity analyses.
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy of standard costing practices.
- Coordinate capital expenditure requests and contribute to long-term capital planning efforts.
- Support inventory management and asset control initiatives.

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of accounting systems, including Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services/Smartview, Insight, and Friedman.
- Maintain financial integrity by following established procedures and internal controls.
- Enhance professional and technical accounting knowledge through ongoing training and education.

- Cultivate an in-depth understanding of all strategic business units within the organization. Leverage insights from colleagues to provide valuable recommendations and best practices.
- Foster teamwork by collaborating effectively with finance management and staff, sharing insights, and proactively seeking constructive feedback.

- Consistently embody the principles of the organization, positioning the company for growth while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the work environment.
- Participate in initiatives related to ethics and compliance.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance, Economics, or a related field may also be considered).
- Preferred certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant equivalent, Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.

- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes-Oxley, cost accounting, and overall accounting proficiency is essential.
- A positive, solution-oriented mindset is required.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities are crucial for effective cross-functional collaboration.

- Excellent analytical skills with the capability to translate complex data into actionable operational insights.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is required, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as Oracle and Mainframe is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 5-10% annually.
