About the Position:

The Administrative Assistant will assist in the Health Information Management Department by following the admission of each patient, initiating the medical record, and verifying that all information scanned in the EHR or filed in the chart are accurate and complete.

This position will also ensure that documents, such as Authorizations to Disclose Health Information and Request for Discharge, are scanned immediately into the PCS and notification is sent.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for additional administrative duties and will work in a harmonious and cooperative fashion with other staff to provide efficient and effective customer service.

The essential functions of this position may require physical strength to frequently push, pull, twist, bend, squat, walk, stand for extended periods of time, lift and/or restrain residents with or without assistance and respond to aggressive resident behavior with specific, trained techniques.

Be able to observe and respond to residents in distress.

Minimum Qualifications:

Six months of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
