Job Summary:

Amerit Consulting is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop computers, laptops, communication devices, printers, and other peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for desktop computers, laptops, communication devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Deploy, install, and resolve technical issues concerning desktop computers, laptops, communication devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Provide software support and user training on applications for computers, communication devices (iPad, iPhone, Android), and printers.
  • Document in detail the request and incident resolution and track hours worked in the help desk ticketing system and provide the customer with status updates.
  • Exercise sound judgment and prioritization and reorganization of customer requests.
  • Be comfortable working in a hospital and clinical environment and flexible with scheduling.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting Windows and Mac operating systems in a networked environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting mobile devices such as iPhones and Androids.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise systems and how they relate to one another.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred job specifications may be used to enhance success in the search of the candidate. These specifications do not disqualify candidates without them from consideration.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in a related area.
  • Working knowledge with ITIL processes such as Change Management, Problem management, and Incident Management.
  • Experience working in an academic health care, healthcare, or university environment.
  • Experience working in a Service Desk, Help Desk, or Call Center environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Support.
  • Apple Support.
  • ITIL Foundations.
  • HDI Support Center Agent.
