Aveanna Healthcare is seeking skilled nursing professionals to join our team as Private Duty Nurses. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Quality Patient Care: Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physician orders.
  • Assess and Document Patient Needs: Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, and report changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Participate, implement, and update the nursing care plan to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Communicate Effectively: Educate patients and families regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs.
  • Maintain Professional Accountability: Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with an active and in good standing license.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to travel, reposition patients, and move equipment without assistance.
  • Health and Safety: Must be able to work in an environment where possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
