Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipe Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities related to the installation and maintenance of piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Fabrication: Execute layout, fabrication, and installation of pipe systems, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Joint Preparation: Fit pipes and prepare joints for welding, following precise requirements for each system.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Work from blueprints and create fabrication sketches for accurate pipe unit construction.
  • Pipe Bending: Skillfully lay out and calculate offset bends and rolling offset bends.
  • Flange Assembly: Assemble flanges in the correct sequence using appropriate materials.
  • Testing: Conduct tests on piping systems using air and water to ensure integrity.
  • Safety Practices: Follow safe shipyard practices and adhere to industry codes and regulations.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize hand and power tools effectively, demonstrating expertise in the trade.
  • Training and Supervision: Mentor junior mechanics and supervise crew members as a senior technician.
  • Independent Work: Complete tasks independently while maintaining reliable attendance.
Compensation

Pay: $27.00 per hour
Per Diem: $110 for non-local candidates only
