Under general oversight, the Human Resources Coordinator/Backlot Administrator plays a vital role in facilitating essential human resource functions for the animation productions at Sony Pictures. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities within the established framework of the HR department, including managing confidential data requests, reporting, operational tasks, administrative duties, and project support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process employee data modifications in Workday, including salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, supervisor changes, title updates, terminations, contract submissions, cost center modifications, payment requests, overrides, work schedule alterations, and job requisition openings.
  • Manage, audit, and disseminate reports, including union reports, severance documentation, and employee rosters.
  • Collaborate with payroll, production, legal, recruiting, artist management, and other HR departments within Sony Pictures Entertainment.
  • Support P&O Business Partners with transactions and various ad hoc projects.
  • Assist in the development of spreadsheets in Excel, utilizing pivot tables and VLOOKUP for data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline HR administrative processes.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant education or experience in Human Resources and/or production backlot administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (essential), Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Workday, and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of the significance of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
  • Experience in the entertainment production field.

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $24/hour to $29/hour. This role is eligible for benefits in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will be determined based on various factors.
