Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer to join our Systems Development Engineering Team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will design, define, and implement complex system requirements for our customers, preparing studies and analyses of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assigned system interfaces with design and process across extended teams
  • Prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures
  • Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment
  • Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of related experience with ML/AI/HPC concepts and the applications that drive these technologies
  • Experience with large-scale InfiniBand or ethernet and RDMA/RoCE; experience with large cluster deployment, cluster management (k8s/Kubernetes, Bright cluster manager, Omnia, Slurm, etc.)
  • Experience with Large Language model deployments
  • Strong experience with GPU performance benchmarking and performance tuning

Desirable Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a workgroup, capability to influence others to achieve results

Compensation and Benefits:

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $200k - $242k. As a Dell Technologies team member, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
