About the Role:

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Solar Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth and success in the solar energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the positioning activities of the business development team to drive growth and success in the solar energy market.
  • Participate in strategic business planning to develop and execute plans to win work in the solar energy market.
  • Create and produce internal and external communications, marketing materials, and presentations to promote our solar energy services.
  • Coordinate prequalification efforts with targeted customers and partners to identify new business opportunities.
  • Initiate customer feedback on proposals and presentations to ensure we are meeting customer needs.
  • Function as the liaison between business development, pre-construction, and marketing to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide insight into market trends and analysis to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proven customer relationship building skills with developed local and regional business knowledge and relationships.
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful marketing strategies.
  • Detail orientation sufficient for data entry, reporting, financial projections, and market analysis.
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent CRM web application skills.
  • Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
  • Minimum five years prior industry-related business development experience.
  • Current driver's license.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
