Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing timely and efficient support.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure aseptic technique is maintained throughout the procedure.
  • Assist with gathering and processing surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Provide safe patient care, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Training Program required.
  • Three years of experience in a surgical setting required.
  • Current Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT required.
Compensation and Benefits

The University of Virginia offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly rate of $38.02. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
