Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
  • Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic technique and sterile conscience
  • Provide safe patient care and demonstrate awareness of environmental safety practices
  • Participate in the development and implementation of surgical procedures and protocols
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled or graduated from a surgical technologist training program accredited by CAHEEP/AHEBS or NCCT
  • BLS certification required
  • Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT
  • Current Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine
