Position Overview

This role encompasses a variety of complex technical responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  1. Managing the construction and maintenance of pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and inspecting ongoing work.
  2. Assessing the effectiveness of leakage surveys.
  3. Overseeing the operation of pipeline systems, including regulation, measurement, and management of natural gas flow.
  4. Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  5. Designing system mains, regulator and meter settings, and corrosion control measures.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Contributing to the development and evaluation of operational standards.
  2. Conducting product evaluations and providing recommendations based on safety, cost-effectiveness, and user-friendliness.
  3. Reviewing completed job documentation for accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
  4. Providing necessary engineering specifications and surveys to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  5. Facilitating coordination between Engineering and Operations for timely project execution.
  6. Generating specialized reports and studies as required.
  7. Identifying and developing solutions to engineering challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with Engineer-In-Training registration and four years of professional engineering experience, or
  2. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program, with eight years of professional engineering experience, or
  3. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a non-ABET accredited program, with twelve years of professional engineering experience.

Additionally, a valid driver's license is required.

Skills Required

Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders to explain technical concepts clearly. Candidates should also possess:

  • Strong numerical skills for performing complex mathematical operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in various software applications for creating detailed documents and reports.

Work Environment

This position involves working primarily in an office setting, with occasional outdoor activities. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks that may include bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.

As this is a Safety-Sensitive position, pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and motor vehicle record checks, are mandatory.
