Position Overview

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  1. Executing complex technical assignments with significant independence, focusing on:
  • Construction and maintenance of pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and conducting inspections.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of leakage surveys.
  • Managing pipeline operations, including regulation and measurement of natural gas.
  • Adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Designing system mains and implementing corrosion control measures.
Contributing to the development and assessment of operational standards. Conducting product evaluations and providing recommendations based on safety and usability. Reviewing completed job documentation for accuracy and compliance with design specifications. Delivering engineering specifications and guidance necessary for timely project completion. Facilitating coordination between Engineering and Operations to ensure project deadlines are met. Generating specialized reports and studies as needed. Formulating and developing solutions to engineering challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with either:
    • Engineer-In-Training registration and four years of professional experience, or
    • Eight years of professional experience with an ABET accredited degree, or
    • Twelve years of professional experience with a non-ABET accredited degree.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Skills Required

Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly in explaining technical concepts to non-experts. Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • Numerical skills for performing algebraic and statistical operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in software applications for creating detailed documents and reports.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with occasional outdoor activities. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks that may include bending, lifting, and other movements.

As a Safety-Sensitive role, pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and motor vehicle record checks, are mandatory.
