Job Overview

The Integrity Risk Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing and evolving Risk Analysis and Risk Management initiatives within the oil and gas sector. This position entails delivering technical and engineering expertise, refining processes, and maintaining a standardized approach to Risk Analysis and Risk Management.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate comprehensive risk assessment reports that detail risk attributes, overall risk status, and proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize engineering risk assessment methodologies for integrated safety, integrity, and reliability evaluations.
  • Conduct risk analysis employing both qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify opportunities for risk mitigation.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of project management and the development lifecycle pertinent to Pipeline Systems.
  • Investigate field incidents, develop predictive models, and analyze data through statistical methodologies.
  • Assess technologies and amalgamate internal and external data sources to enhance operational efficiencies and establish relevant KPIs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of products and engineering methodologies for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver regular, detailed reports, presentations, and optimizations of risk management approaches.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the company's Risk Analysis and Risk Management protocols.
  • Provide insights for new construction and acquisition/divestiture due diligence processes.
  • Remain updated on pipeline regulations, industry benchmarks, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Ensure the creation of appropriate technical documentation.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business, or a related field (preferably with a focus on mathematics or statistics).
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry, showcasing strong analytical skills.

Experience in engineering risk assessment principles for safety, integrity, and reliability evaluations is essential.

  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State pipeline regulations, including Integrity Management guidelines.
  • Capability to analyze intricate problems and devise integrated solutions for pipeline risks.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Self-driven with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work autonomously or within a team.
  • Experience in project completion and transition, with an understanding of factors affecting operational turnover.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.
  • Familiarity with CFR 49 §195 and oversight of Risk/Integrity Specialists.

Supervise external consulting, engineering, and systems development resources. May lead the work of others as necessary.
