We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our team at TTI, Inc. in Austin, TX. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling company products and services to assigned customers in your territory. Your primary objectives will be to create sales, defend sales, and penetrate sales for existing and potential customers.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and pursue business leads, calling on customers, attending trade shows, and building relationships with representatives.
- Attend quarterly business reviews (QBR) with suppliers to understand the business outlook and opportunities.
- Work with local and regional suppliers to create a partnership that will position the company as the primary distributor of choice.
- Attend suppliers' training to pass along product knowledge to the customer.
- Attend and conduct client product training.
- Follow through on every level of the sales cycle for key customers by keeping in touch with the customer, inside sales, manufacturers, and quotes.
- Ensure that everything is complete, timely, and meeting customer expectations.
- Answer and resolve all key customer technical questions, issues, and complaints in a timely manner to provide the highest level of service available.
- Maintain market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends, and new concepts to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
- Requires a HS Diploma or GED; Business-related degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to two years of demonstrated successful performance in a Field Sales Representative role preferred.
- Self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working with little to no direction when out in the field.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge, understanding, and/or experience in technical sales.
- Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of Excel.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license, safe driving record, and be insurable by the company's liability carrier.
- Must be willing to travel in assigned territory up to 50 percent of the time.
