Chemical Engineering Professor

The School of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Virginia seeks a tenure-eligible or tenured professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's research, teaching, and service missions.
Research OpportunitiesThe department offers a vibrant and interdisciplinary research environment, with opportunities for collaboration within and between the Schools of Engineering and Arts & Sciences. Research areas that complement existing UVA strengths or bring new expertise in heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis, fuel cells, or chemical conversion devices with an emphasis on energy and sustainability will be given priority.
Teaching and ServiceThe new faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise students, and participate in departmental and university service. The appointment rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications- A doctorate or equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field
- Evidence of a commitment to high-impact scholarship, funded research, teaching, and advising excellence, professional and university service, and mentoring
