About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Property Appraiser to join our team at Mecklenburg County Assessor's Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex commercial and residential appraisals, establishing property grades and characteristics, and assisting with cost, market, and income studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough appraisals of commercial and residential properties, including large commercial, multi-family, and complex residential properties.
  • Defend ad valorem values before the Board and some cases to the NC Property Tax Commission.
  • Establish property grades and characteristics for revaluation purposes.
  • Assist with cost, market, and income studies for revaluation.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff members.
