Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager at Firehouse Subs. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitable operation of our restaurant during designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Operations: Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs culture and mission.
  • Financial Management: Ensure the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth.
  • Training and Development: Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees under the guidance of the General Manager.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner on any issues that may impact our business.
Requirements
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft software and register skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shifts. Ability to be mobile in walk-in freezer/cooler with temperatures ranging from 40°F to -10°F.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
