About the Role

Peckham is a mission-driven organization that provides world-class vocational rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Employee Experience and Engagement team as an intern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the full cycle recruiting process, including employment verification, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
  • Analyze employee engagement surveys and data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support training and development programs by assisting in preparation, creation of materials, and facilitation.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Plan and coordinate staff events to promote team building and morale.
  • Design posters and draft communications for various projects and events.
  • Support mission engagement opportunities and programs for staff.
  • Update and maintain employee communication channels to ensure timely and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program with a declared major in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create charts and graphs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn Workday.
  • Graduate student preferred.
  • Availability to attend various events and meetings.
