Your impact as a Clinical Behavior Specialist...
The BCBA is tasked with:
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluating, supervising, and assessing learners through various assessments including; ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland, AFLS, Essential for Living, or other Functional Behavior Assessments.
- Developing and overseeing the execution of personalized goals and objectives for center-based, community, in-home, and telehealth services.
- Formulating individualized behavior intervention strategies, monitoring their application, and providing necessary feedback. The Clinical Behavior Specialist will also deliver direct behavior analytic therapy as required.
- Conducting parent training sessions as clinically appropriate for the learner.
Supervision Duties
- Identifying and creating opportunities to instruct staff and learners in natural settings and training others to replicate this approach.
- Engaging in parent meetings, treatment discussions, stakeholder conferences, training sessions, and other necessary gatherings.
- Assisting with initial training alongside the training team and supporting ongoing training focused on the retention and development of behavior technicians.
- Fostering staff development through performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, development activities, and both formal and informal training in line with Hope Network's Employee Handbook and BACB standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a field related to Behavior Analysis (Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred)
- BCBA Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Current State of Michigan Behavior Analyst Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a BCaBA or under the supervision of a BCBA during training hours
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
